Remodel Your Bathroom with Style
If your bathroom currently has outdated floors, counter tops, and cabinets, it may be time to make the upgrade. The money that you invest in the bathroom will be returned by double the amount should you ever decide to sell your home. When homes go on the sales market, the properties that have updated kitchens and bathrooms are certainly the first to be sold. If a prospective home owner purchases a home with an older style kitchen and bathroom, they know that they will be spending some immediate money on upgrades. This will lead to a lower sales price for the home owner.
The first step in deciding what to do with your existing bathroom is to consider the current lay out. The cost will drastically go up if you have to pay to have plumbing fixtures moved to another spot in the existing bathroom. If you really want a garden style bath tub, do you have the space for it with the existing lay out of the bathroom? If not, is there extra room in an adjacent room that can be used for the bathroom. If you have a closet in a spare bedroom that lays just on the other side of the bathroom wall, why not consider removing the wall between, eliminating the closet space and opening up your bathroom area?
If you are really not using the space in the spare bedroom, the room could be much more appealing when added to the floor space in a bathroom. I could allow you to put more amenities in the bathroom and make it a more serene place to relax. Have a garden bathtub will come in very handy after a long day at work or school. Wouldn't it be nice to have a nice big tub to just soak your cares away in? Light a few candles, run a bubble bath, and grab a book. You are in for a long relaxing bath in your newly renovated bathroom. The sinks and counter tops are another very important part of the bathroom. A new marble counter top can make a big difference in the look of your bathroom. Chose a complementary sink basin to use with the counter top and the look will almost be complete.
New cabinets can be expensive but they are worth the extra cost. If getting new cabinets are not in your budget, try to revive the ones that you currently have but adding a splash of paint and some new door hardware. Just a little touch up can make a big difference. Do not forget about the flooring in the bathroom. If you get the garden tub and nice counter tops, they will look even better when displayed on some new flooring. Flooring comes in all types from linoleum to marble or granite. The type of flooring you choose will probably depend on your budget. Spend some time designing your new bathroom and then get the journey started. You will have no regrets and will be amazed at the compliments you will get from the friends and family that will visit your home.
